I was born in 7200 Age of Dooms to a stillmother and a father who was the Legatus Marshal of Galbard. This was a position I inherited from him, and I command both the permanent Galbardian forces and the Galbard Militia. My son Amar, born to my Companion Kaliel, who, to my eternal sadness, was also a stillmother. After the disappearance of Jess’ mother Gilana, I also became Galbard's Foreign Minister. Unbeknownst to most, I am also the leader of the Resistance, which is a loose organization of Galbardians who non-violently oppose the isolationist policies of King Avril. My home is in Galbard’s capital of Silarom across Infamy Avenue from Jess’ home. At the start of our story, I have accompanied Vilia the Gypsy Yitrava to Plasis, where I will also attend the Great Council of Civilized Countries scheduled to commence the day after Jess arrives aboard the slave ship to Plasis
